Responsible research 2023

In 2023, we issued nine policy briefs, eight synthesis reports, three visions and discussion openers, as well as three statements. In addition, we launched the Food Vision 2040 policy brief and a discussion opener for doubling the value added in the forest sector. In this report, we offer more detailed information about our research related to the five selected SDGs.

In autumn 2023, our ethical committee on empirical research related to natural resources prepared the first draft of our ethical principles and reviews for research in natural sciences. In this, we work in close cooperation with the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity (TENK). Ethical reviews cover certain research settings identified in ethical research principles. In its statement, the committee presents its well-founded view of the ethical acceptability of research.  Ultimately, research is always approved by the vice president of the research unit in question.
